Mahanarayan Oil (also called Mahanarayana Thailam) is ayurvedic medicated oil prepared using sesame oil as a base and processed in several medicinal herbs that improves strength of the muscles, bones and joints. The therapeutic effect of Mahanarayan Tail is observed on bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and synovial fluid.

Osteoarthritis

Many ayurvedic doctors only use Mahanarayan Oil for the massage of affected joints with osteoarthritis, but it gives substantial improvement in pain and joint flexibility when taken internally. 5 ml Mahanarayan Oil (as recommended in dosage section below) should be taken with milk 2 times a day. A week therapy with it gives relief from the joint pain and grating sensation. It lowers joint tenderness and stiffness and improves flexibility of the joints.

According to ayurveda, Vata is responsible for loss of cartilage or wear and tear of the cartilage in osteoarthritis. Mahanarayan Oil pacifies Vata and has protective effects against wear and tear of the cartilage and it improves synovial fluid. Symptomatic relief is observable within the first week of its internal use. Patients require knee replacement must give a try with this oil before taking a big decision. Many of our patients have got significant improvement only with Mahanarayan Oil. We also use following herbal mixture for additional support in osteoarthritis.

Dosage:

• Take 5-10 ml of the oil and massage gently on the affected area of the body or as directed by the Physician.
